A Mess, Nonetheless

Have you ever been having a great time and suddenly a friend gets weird, out of nowhere? Or worse, you do and you're not even sure why! Melissa and Rachel talk about their experiences with these "triggering" moments and how God has used them to challenge and shape their course moving forward. And where they've landed for the health of relationships and personal growth.

Show notes:

Verses:

Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"

Psalm 139: 4-7

"Lord, you know what I want to say, even before the words leave my mouth. You are all around me—in front of me and behind me. I feel your hand on my shoulder. I am amazed at what you know; It is too much for me to understand. Your Spirit is everywhere I go. I cannot escape your presence."

Psalm 139:23-24 "God, examine me and know my mind. Test me and know all my worries. Make sure that I am not going the wrong way. Lead me on the path that has always been right."

Romans 8:27 "And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God."

1 Chronicles 28:9 “As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts."

Affirmation:

I can ask the Holy Spirit to direct my thoughts and actions. I can ask Him to search my heart.

Challenge: When you feel yourself being weird, just call it like it is. Telling people what's going on can save a lot of heartache in relationships.
